This message is to you my fellow citizens; particularly those of you who have loved ones or friends who are incarcerated inside facilities operated by the Texas Department of Criminal InJustice!
You have been played! That’s right. Bamboozled! Hoodwinked!! Duped!!! and Tricked!!!
You have been led to believe that Texas Prisoners receive good time and work time for their labor.
However, Texas government code 493.003 says this: “Good conduct time applies only to eligibility for parole or mandatory supervision as provided by 508.145 or 508.147 and does not otherwise affect an inmate’s term. Good conduct time is a privilege and not a right.”
The prison industrial complex in Texas is perpetrating a fraud on its prisoners as well as the taxpayers who support it. They allege to jurors in the court system that a Texas prisoner’s sentence will be shortened due to good time and work time credits. TDCJ misinforms the public-at-large that prisoners are compensated for their labor with good time and work time credits. The deception is even furthered by TDCJ when they give prisoners a piece of paper in the form of a time calculation sheet which actually says the prisoner is receiving his or her good time and work time.
However, it is all smoke and mirrors – numbers on a piece of paper- A FRAUD!
Texas has reduced your loved ones to domesticated slave servants who help to maintain the system which mistreats, degrades, and dehumanizes them!
My fellow citizens it is imperative that we understand and take action as taxpayers who vote for the officials that allow these fraudulent practices to continue in Texas. Each unit in Texas produces approximately $250,000 – $500,000 worth of prison labor per month by way of the many domesticating jobs that maintain each unit; such as janitors, painters, plumbers, electricians, welders, cooks, truck drivers, dishwashers, tutors, and more!
The prison agency TDCJ along with the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles has convinced prisoners and their families to me content with imaginary pay!
I am pleading with you to email or call the following Texas Legislators and request that they END PRISON SLAVERY IN TEXAS during the 85th Legislative session in 2017. It can be done!
