Comrade Malik speaks out about the: transgender issue

by Keith ‘Malik’ Washington

“We’re in the feminine aspect now… That’s where society is. You’re gonna get a woman president soon. Men have gone as far as they can, right?… I learn from women a lot quicker than I do from men… At a certain point, you’re supposed to know what it means to be a man, but now what do you know about what it means to be a woman? Do you know how to listen? Most men don’t know how to listen.”

Peace and blessings sisters and brothers!

One of my closest friends and trusted comrades is transgender. He was born a girl and now he identifies as a man. I respect him, I trust him and as a humyn being I even love him! It took years of political education and me being bitterly honest with myself in order to kill the super macho, homophobic, chauvinistic feelings that were deeply ingrained in my psyche. We don’t discuss the ‘hard’ topics like sex, love, second-guessing the transition process no!  We don’t talk about that. Ever.

Recently the hot topic is whether transgender people should use the restroom they identify with. For me it’s easy. I’m a guy, if you have to go to the bathroom – go! I ain’t trippin’. If you’re transgender and you haven’t medically transitioned? Find a stall and sit down if you need to! I don’t stare when I go to the bathroom! I just do it!

But that oversimplifies things doesn’t it? We must consider the super religious folks, the super bigoted folks, the haters, and the very ignorant and uneducated folks.

It’ll be a very rare occurrence to see a trans humyn being acting inappropriately when the time comes to go to the bathroom.

But, some segments of the Amerikan society or not ready – so what do we do? Do we force them to be ready? Do we create special accommodations for transgender folks with – trans only restrooms?  I support my transgender sisters and brothers! I support my gay and lesbian friends And while I’m here, I want to note that I have a serious problem with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and their volatile and tolerance of LGBTQ humyn beings. The murders must stop in the Kingdom! Now!

So here I am butt- ass naked to the world! I have nothing to hide and I’m too damn old and mature to care what anyone thinks about my choice to embrace my transgender friends.

There will be many Muslims who read my writings regularly but when they hear this one they will cease supporting me!

justin adkins is a revolutionary transgender activist, he is white, I am not white – I am black – Arab – Latino. Am I gay? Maybe bi? Maybe I am a cross-gender alien from Mars? justin has sacrificed a lot to support me and my work. There are all types of people who have never supported me or my struggles against the fascist imperialist pigs who operate the slave camps and gulags throughout Amerika;  and there are many who never will.

justin and I are both anti-imperialist, we both believe that the only way this planet earth will survive is if there is a radical change in the current ruling world system. Our planet is being destroyed right in front of our eyes.

Please forgive me if I don’t get excited over what the state of North Carolina does. Transgender people are humyn beings that deserve the opportunity to use the bathroom of their choice. It won’t be the first time I said something provocative, and it won’t be the last.

When Huey P. Newton spoke out in support of Gay Liberation it created a stir.

I leave you with a favorite quote that my friend justin recently introduced to me:

“White radicals need to go beyond their familiar circles and form coalitions with people of color with an understanding of how white activists in the past have betrayed people of color. White radicals need a strong race, class and gender analysis and it should be central to their political worldview.” – Elizabeth ‘Betita’ Martinez

Now replace the word ‘white’ with ‘black’ in this quote! Yes, black radicals have betrayed people of color also! We must own that – and fix the problem – fighting to end prison slavery in America is a start!

Dare to struggle, Dare to win
All power to the people!
