End Prison Slavery

Force U.S. Authorities to Investigate Texas Prisons!

Peace and blessings Sisters and Brothers!

My name is Keith “Malik” Washington. I am the chief spokesperson for the End Prison Slavery in Texas movement. I have recently been placed in long-term solitary confinement.

Prison officials in Texas have harshly retaliated against me for attempting to organize prison workers who are paid nothing.
Usually to be placed in long-term solitary a prisoner must have exhibited a pattern of violent acts. No such acts exist in my record. Texas prison officials have embraced a pattern of practice in which they target prisoners who file lawsuits in respect to abuse and inhumane conditions that exist inside these modern day slave kamps and Gulags. Texas has reached a level of arrogance in respect to their treatment of imprisoned freedom fighters.

The U.S. Department of Justice has a special unit which investigates instances such as mine – but we must show them that it is not just me. We have to show the U.S. Department of Justice that there is a pervasive and systemic problem that currently exists in prisons operated by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The attack on me and so many others is directly connected to our exercise of our 1st Amendment Right to Free Speech.

However, it is deeper than that! We are seeing an increase in:

  • Medical neglect of prisoners which has been deemed as un-constitutional
  • Deadly extreme heat which continues to kill
  • A sharp spike of prisoners suicides especially for those housed in solitary confinement
  • Cover-up of contaminated drinking water.

I have a growing list of prisoners who have become victims of retaliatory tactics inside Texas prisons. Here is a list of prisoners with lawsuits against the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. ALL have been victims of retaliation and harassment for engaging in what is described as “protected conduct” by the U.S. Supreme Court:
1. Keith H. Washington TDC# 1487958 (U.S. Army veteran)
2. Carl E. Hunt TDC# 832307 (Disabled U.S. veteran)
3. Michael Lane TDC# 1238595 (U.S. Army veteran)
4. Freddie Fountain TDC# 1640115
5. Artavius Edwards TDC# 681982
6. George Lee Tucker TDC# 786947
7. Rubin Crain TDC# 1987012
8. Mark Schwarzer TDC# 1433741

Sisters and brothers I could have listed hundreds! I need help generating a public outcry in order to get the U.S. Department of Justice up in these prisons and pull these prisoners our for private interviews!

Texas thrives on misinforming the public and silencing the voices of those they mistreat and abuse – I refuse to remain silent. Please help amplify my voice.

Sisters and Brothers, I have said enough, the rest is up to you. Truthfully you can sit in the comfort of your own home, in your car or in the park and send an email to U.S. authorities, the media, and activists throughout the world.
Personally, I really could use some legal help and media coverage. The email for the U.S. Department of Justice, Special

Litigation Unit is:

Dare to struggle, dare to win.
All Power to the People.

-Comrade Malik
